CF8/AISI 304: Provides excellent general corrosion resistance for water, air, and mild chemical services.
CF8M/AISI 316: Offers superior resistance to chlorides and acidic environments with added molybdenum content, ideal for marine and chemical processing applications.
CF3/AISI 304L & CF3M/AISI 316L: The low-carbon versions minimize carbide precipitation during casting and welding, ensuring enhanced corrosion resistance in welded assemblies and high-temperature services.
Duplex & Super Duplex Stainless Steels: For extreme chloride-rich environments, we cast discs from grades like 2205 (Duplex) and 2507 (Super Duplex), which provide exceptional strength and resistance to stress corrosion cracking.
Investment Casting Process: Also known as the lost-wax method, this is the ideal technique for producing butterfly valve discs. It allows for the creation of complex aerodynamic profiles, smooth as-cast surfaces (typically 125-250 Ra microinches), and near-net-shape geometry, significantly reducing machining costs and material waste.
Shell Molding (Croning Process): For certain larger disc sizes, we employ resin-coated sand molds, which provide a superior finish and dimensional accuracy compared to conventional green sand casting.
Process Control: Rigorous control over melting (in induction furnaces under protective atmosphere), pouring temperatures, and solidification ensures a homogeneous, defect-free microstructure free from shrinkage, porosity, or inclusions that could compromise disc integrity.
Water & Wastewater Treatment: For handling treated water, sewage, and mild chemicals.
Chemical & Petrochemical Processing: Resisting corrosive acids, alkalis, and solvents.
Oil & Gas: Used in upstream, midstream, and downstream applications.
Marine & Offshore: Handling seawater and ballast water in highly corrosive saltwater environments.
Power Generation: For cooling water systems and FGD (Flue Gas Desulfurization) applications.
In fluid control systems where corrosion resistance, structural integrity, and long-term reliability are critical, the butterfly valve disc stands as a core component.
