Material Excellence and Performance Characteristics
We utilize premium corrosion-resistant alloys including CF8 (304 stainless steel equivalent), CF8M (316 stainless steel equivalent), and specialized grades like CF3M for enhanced chemical resistance. These materials maintain excellent mechanical properties across temperature extremes, with typical tensile strength exceeding 515 MPa and yield strength of 205 MPa minimum. The austenitic microstructure provides outstanding corrosion resistance in various media, while maintaining good impact strength at cryogenic temperatures and retaining structural integrity at elevated service temperatures up to 800°F. The homogeneous grain structure achieved through investment casting ensures consistent performance throughout the valve case.
Advanced Investment Casting Manufacturing Process
Our manufacturing begins with precision-machined wax patterns injected using temperature-controlled systems to ensure dimensional consistency. These patterns are assembled into clusters and repeatedly dipped in ceramic slurry, building a multi-layer mold capable of withstanding the thermal shock of molten metal. Following dewaxing and high-temperature firing, we pour certified stainless steel alloys into preheated molds using vacuum-assisted techniques that ensure complete filling of intricate passages and thin sections. The process achieves exceptional surface finishes of 125 Ra or better and maintains dimensional tolerances within ±0.005 inches per inch, significantly reducing machining requirements.
